Getting Started
As you begin your journey down the LV ownership road, we want to provide you with a useful tool to assist you during your travels. To that end, below is a task list of anticipated action items to keep in mind as you begin your research on buying and then building an LV home. This information will help you understand the tasks leading up to your LV home deposit and beyond…

Thoroughly review the LV series website. |

Contact your local building department to verify that our design specs meet their requirements. |

Identify build site; you may need to consult with a local realtor. Purchase property. |

Identify general contractor. For general contractor referrals, go to the National Association of Home Builders website. |

Visit our build section of the website where you and your general contractor can learn about the LV build process. |

If customizing an LV, consider requesting a preliminary schematic plan from our Design Team. |

Complete the line-by-line item worksheet so that you can get a ballpark construction estimate from your general contractor . |

Meet with your lender and begin new construction loan discussions (if applicable). |

Forward initial deposit and sign an LV home contract. If customizing an LV, you will also need to sign a custom design service contract. |

Once transfer of funds is complete, send out Construction Binder and Plans . |

If customizing an LV, finalize site plan, custom plans, structural plans, and all construction documents. |

Obtain all building permits. |

General contractor to prepare build site. |

Begin manufacturing of LV kit upon receipt of final payment. |
